I thought I would mention that I bought a wakeboard last weekend (which I haven't gotten to ride again yet after kinda hurting my ankle on it - as I almost jumped the wake!).

In light of the upcoming debate, which may not happen because John McCain can't handle the debate and the ridiculous bailout at the same time, I found this funny picture which I feel is pretty appropriate at this time:

I got my new snowboard!! A nice K2 Podium 159 with Ride LX bindings. That and Lucija got me some awesome snowboard boots for my birthday!!!

Hey ya'all... I just got back from San Diego tonight with Lucija, and I had a chance to post some images, and some are really good.

We had a good time going to a winery in Temecula, CA on Friday (Ponte Winer). We had a nice late lunch, had a great Moscato with dinner, and even bought a bottle for later. It turned out, that the drink we chose at dinner was the best on there, as we found out after our wine tasting of 6 different varieties of whites and reds.

Saturday we spent the day at La Jolla Cove in the morning and early afternoon, took a driving tour of UC San Diego, then later went to La Jolla Beach and watched the waves and played voleyball with each other! Then at night, we went out to town! Shoulda gotta a picture of that... good times. We were searching for the infamous, Key Lime Martini!!! We tried this first bar, which was pretty swank and had a nice liquor selection, only to be told they couldn't make it. We later tried this posh space called "Confidential". The guy made one with no hesitation (although forgetting a sugared rim on the glass). It was pretty good, but apparently, no comparison to LA's bar. After our ordeal getting out of the parking garage (15 minutes in line), we escaped back to the hotel.

Sunday, it was a bit at Mission Beach for some volleyball, although the sand was a billion degrees and we couldn't really play :( We instead got in the ocean, and bumped the ball around a bit, and I tried to body surf but it ended horribly with a mouth & lung full of salt water. Oh well... boogey boards next time.

5.5 hours of driving and one border patrol stop later, we are back all safe & sound with pictures to share....

San Diego Fun Pictures

I posted some new pictures from playing volleyball up at Dan's Cabin in Prescott. This was a lot of fun, other than the large amount of rain we had on Friday night, and then again Saturday early afternoon. If only the whole trip we had weather like Saturday evening and Sunday morning!! Oh well, we got in lots of volleyball, and my dang my feets are sore! Had lots of fun camping with Brian, Pam, and Lucija. We'll have to do that again some time when it's drier, and I have a larger tent... the Queen size air mattress is a bit tight in my little green $10 tent!
